SIXES?

What is Sixes Lacrosse? If you haven’t heard, Lacrosse will be in the Olympics in LA in 2028! World Lacrosse and the OIC agreed that this new, more inclusive version of the sport is going to be played instead of the traditional box or field versions we currently play. This is identical to Rugby being played in the Olympics as Sevens. Click here to read more about Sixes.

season length?

Elementary - TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS (SEPT 5 to OCT 10)

High School - FRIDAYS (SEPT 6 - OCT 11)

BODY CHECKING?

Although there is body contact, there are is no HITTING. Think basketball defence. You can use your stick and body to keep them in front of you but not take them out.

Boys and girls?

YES! Last year, out of our 150+ players, almost 20 were girls!

Equipement?

Only a hockey helmet with full face mask, gloves (can be hockey), and a lacrosse stick (can’t be hockey) are required to play. Any other protective equipment is not permitted.
