north stars girls field lacrosse well represented at the ontario summer games in london, with players & coaches bringing home gold, silver and bronze!

The Owen Sound North Stars were well represented this past weekend in Girls Field Lacrosse at the Ontario Summer Games in London, with three Owen Sound North Stars girls’ field lacrosse players and one coach winning gold medals!

Team Blue, featuring Camryn Stauffer, Hannah Davies, Willow Smith-Spinney and coach Reese Wilkins, defeated Team Pink by a score of 13-5 to win gold.  Goalie Mykah Harris, and team manager Richard Harris represented Team Pink and earned silver medals.

Earlier in the day, Team Red, with Camryn Laycock and Megan Nissen defeated Team Green 10-5 to earn bronze medals.  Five North Stars, Bree Wilkins, Taryn Weppler, Mya Good, Ainsley Smith and Grace Smyth, along with coach Lauren Radbourne and manager Kelly Wilkins were members of Team Green.

Other North Stars who participated in the Ontario Summer Games were Ella McCoubrey, Leah Cooper, Ella Todd, and Lauren Neil (Team Yellow), and London Doyle and Katie Marshall (Team Purple).

Bree Wilkins was selected as a First Team All-Star at the three-day event.

The field lacrosse event was coordinated by Owen Sound JEWL team coach, and Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse Director of Development, Lyndsay Brooks.
