the john shute optometry u9 north stars take home provincial bronze!

The Owen Sound North Stars John Shute Optometry U9 girls attended Provincials in Oshawa on July 27th. The North Stars took home a bronze medal!

The Oakville Ladyhawks beat Owen Sound 16-10 in the first game. DANIELLE ADAIR lead the scoring for the Northstars with 4 goals, followed by FRANKIE LAVALLEY who had 3, and a goal each for GRACE BOYD, ‘TAE’ WILSON, and PIPER COBURN.

The second game was a rough one for the Newmarket Redbirds who lost to Owen Sound. Jada Kazarian kept the Newmarket Redbirds at bay in net with the final score 14-7 for the Northstars who were hungry for a medal. FRANKIE LAVALLEY and GRACE BOYD both scored 4 goals each the Northstars. DANIELLE ADAIR was next with 3 goals, FAYE BURNETT-SCOTT had 2 goals and ROWAN ELMORE also scored 1 goal.

It was a successful end to the U9 North Stars who are very grateful to their coaches Kelly Wilkins and Stacey Goldie who volunteered their precious time and incredible skill set to get the girls on solid ground this season and bring home the Bronze.
